The subs for the movie can be downloaded here: CD1 and CD2 (Pass: libra)
Please note that I translated the movie based on the English translation of the Japanese novel by Dazai Osamu. Many thanks to ahpai for her help. Loved our little discussion :)
These subs are in ass format. Before I've only released subs in srt format, because I know srt works for everyone, while ass doesn't. However, I've decided to release subs in ass now, because it just makes my life so much easier, and the subs are a little better in ass format too.
Translator's note: Nakahara Chuya (wiki) is not an original character from the novel. He is a real-life poet who lived during the early Showa period of Japan. He's my favorite character in this movie, btw ^^
In the movie, there is a mention of one of his poems called "A bone". You can read the English translation here.
I timed my subs according to DVD rip uploaded by nomanymore , and they should work for other rips that are also split into 2 CDs. As many people have asked for it, I have re-uploaded the Raw myself.
